Taiji Dolphin Drives Started in 1969---are NOT Japanese Tradition

The reason the defenseless oceanic mammals are exploited for display in aquariums and as commodities for human consumption is greed (and undoubtedly a dose of sadism), not tradition. On the other hand, it is the thousands or millions of years tradition of the dolphins to travel in the nearby oceans. The industrial-style killing by humans continues from Fall to early Spring every year.
