North Texas Giving Day is tomorrow!

Normally we would be gearing up for this big event, however, we participated in an earlier Giving Day (when the pandemic hit) and your generosity continues to sustain us. We are so incredibly grateful to you for that!

Because of this, and the fact that there are other deserving organizations who need help, we are opting out of the second round of Giving Day that is occurring tomorrow. We are instead encouraging donations to two worthy groups that we work with on a regular basis, who were hit very hard this year:

  • DFW Wildlife Coalition operates a volunteer based wildlife hotline 365 days a year from 7 am - 10 pm.  They maintain active contacts for every wildlife rehabilitator for every TX species.  They often receive bat calls and make sure the bats find their way to Bat World Sanctuary.
  • Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is a non-profit wildlife organization whose purpose is to provide care and rehabilitation to injured, sick and orphaned birds with the goal of returning them to their natural environment. They refer the many bat calls they get each year to Bat World Sanctuary so bats in need find help.

We are all in this together, rescuing and saving animals, because we all care about making a difference in this life for animals in need. Thank you for being such a strong advocate for Bat World and for the orphaned, abused and neglected creatures with whom we share this planet.  Thank you for helping those who have helped Bat World Sanctuary.

P.S. If you still want to help the bats directly, we can always use items from our Amazon Wish List. Thank you again!

Bat World Sanctuary is on the front line to end the mistreatment of bats.  Each year we rescue hundreds to thousands of bats who might otherwise die. Lifetime sanctuary is given to non-releasable bats, including those that are orphaned, injured, and retired from the exotic pet trade, zoos and research facilities. Bat World was founded in 1994 and is a 501c3 non-profit, accredited organization with the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.

Donations allow us to continue our rescue efforts for bats.
