Take a look at the inspiring things we've done together this year

It's a real privilege to be part of the WeMove Europe community. A community that, time and time again, comes together to create change that none of us could have on our own.

We did so much together this year - take a look. It's truly inspiring.

You'll see, some battles we won, some we lost, and some will simply need more of our energy next year. Either way, not one of them would have been possible without your support.

We fought for the world's most ambitious law protecting people from abuse online by the likes of Facebook and Twitter... And we won! [1]

When the war broke out in Ukraine, tens of thousands of us came together to support people fleeing - adding our names, donating, posting on social media. Days later, EU leaders invoked a special law to protect those fleeing. [2]

When activists took on their regional government for overuse of pesticides, the local government and agri-giants industry responded with over 1300 lawsuits. So we organised a protest and delivered over 250,000 signatures. A people powered boost that gave them the energy to push ahead. All lawsuits were dropped! [3]

We took on Frontex - the EU agency with the biggest budget, linked to human rights abuse, cover ups, corruption. Our pressure led to their Director, Fabrice Leggeri resigning and MEPs refusing to release their funding. [4]

We came #Together4Forests by demanding products linked to deforestation be removed from our shelves. We won in the European Parliament. Next we'll push all EU leaders to agree with them! [5]

We mobilised to push the European Parliament to turn off the taps on fossil fuels and block billions in funding from banks. Although we lost the final vote, we had some major wins along the way and changed the minds of huge swathes of the Parliament. With a series of legal actions coming, watch this space in 2023. [6]

After 2 years of pressure from people like us, the EU is ditching a toxic treaty that gives fossil fuel corporations powers to sue our governments. Setting our governments free to take urgent action for the climate. [7]

This is what happens when people who believe governments, leaders, and corporations should be accountable to them, come together. We get our power from each other, and together we make great things happen.

Every campaign we run is made up of actions, big and small. From putting on events to producing videos. It's all funded by people like you and me, donating what we can. By chipping in the price of a cup of coffee each week, we power the winning campaigns we all get behind.

liz, thank you for being part of these incredible stories of us working together to make a difference for people and the planet.

David (London, Tom (Brussels), Olga (Bologna), and the entire WeMove Europe team

P.S. As the next year approaches, there are even more fights on the horizon. And right now we're hard at work preparing our plans to face them. The wins we can be proud of this year were made possible because we could rely on regular donations from this community. We need to know if we can count on the resources from this community for next year. Will you donate the price of a cup of coffee each week to power more winning campaigns in 2023?

WeMove Europe is a community of people from all walks of life, who call Europe our home,
no matter where we were born, where we live or who we love.
In the name of a brighter future for people and the planet,
we come together to sign petitions, send letters and protest on the streets to make our voices heard.
Our power comes from each other. And it's thanks to small monthly donations, fivers and tenners, that we can keep going.

Please help keep WeMove Europe strong by chipping in.
